5. Student Fiumanka
University Sailing Regatta "Student Fiumanka"
June 11 - 12, 2026
For the fifth year in a row, as part of Fiumanka, students from the University of Rijeka will also sail in the university regatta Studentska Fiumanka, one of the regattas that forms a valuable part of the Fiumanka sports program.
The Student Fiumanka is becoming a traditional event that transforms Rijeka into the center of student sailing and promotes the values of the academic community.
We will sail on Thursday and Friday, June 11th and 12th in the afternoon.
During the two-day regatta, students and University employees participate in teamwork, develop a competitive spirit, and strengthen mutual communication and cooperation. This allows students to acquire new knowledge and skills, but also to truly enjoy the challenges of sailing and the beauty of the sea.
Cup competition
The regatta will be held over two days as a cup competition, with the winner being decided in the final competitions on the last day of sailing after all the results have been added up. Six monotype sailboats will be sailed. The minimum number of crew members is 4 and the maximum is 8. The first three teams will receive prizes, and the best will be awarded the "Studentska Fiumanka" transitional cup.
Like all other regattas within Fiumanka, this program is completely free for all participants, which is especially important for students who would otherwise be unavailable such activities.

11. June (Thursday)
14:30; meeting of helmsmen and team leaders
15:00 - 20:00; 5 qualifying races are planned (depending on the conditions)
12. June (Friday)
14:30; helmsman meeting
15:00 - 19:00; 4 qualifying races are planned (depending on the conditions)
19:00 – 21:00; final sailing for the 6 best placed teams
